Scholastic Bowl Team Wins 2A Regional Championship
The Fenwick Scholastic Bowl Team won the IHSA 2A Regional yesterday, defeating Downers Grove North 540-240 in the championship match!
The Scholastic Bowl team won the IHSA 2A Regional, defeating Downers Grove North 540-240 in the championship match. Quinn Hynes, Jack Biemer, Cole Ude, Chloe Broaddus, Quin Ahler, Diego Jimenez, Jacob Chi and Cece Flosman have worked hard all season to achieve this goal. The Friars also out-performed five other public high schools on March 6th:

Fenton (Bensenville, IL)

"The conference champs and newly crowned regional champs contended for the Sectional championship at Hinsdale Central on March 11," says Coach Jerry Kribs, where the bracket of 27 teams was whittled down to four. The Friars defeated Payton Prep in an overtime thriller, dispatched Hinsdale South easily and finished as runner-up to champion Hinsdale Central. The two teams exchanged leads in the second half until the 24-question game was decided on the 23rd question.
Congratulationss to Quinn Hynes and Jack Biemer, who earned All-Sectional honors with their play this season. Way to go, Friars!
"Special thanks to seniors Quinn and Jacob for their leadership throughout the season," praised Coach Kribbs. "The other returning players now set their sights on next season, which holds the promise to be Fenwick's first trip to the State Finals since 2005."
